Strengthening and fostering the health and well-being of our community goes far beyond the walls of Cypress Pointe Hospital. The development of the Frank van Mullem Leadership Council is part of our commitment to build stronger ties with our community through our outreach programs involving the Tangipahoa Chambers of Commerce, local governments, law enforcement agencies, schools, churches and other civic organizations.
The Frank van Mullem Leadership Council is comprised of a group of community leaders dedicated to improving the health, well-being and quality of life throughout the Hammond area and surrounding neighborhoods in Tangipahoa parish by providing leadership and direction that support the mission and values of Cypress Pointe Hospital.
In 2019 we renamed our Leadership Council to the Frank van Mullem Leadership Council in honor of the late Frank Van Mullem who helped in founding our council.
Members of the Frank Van Mullem Leadership Council work with hospital executives to keep abreast of the community’s needs, guide community health education and wellness outreach efforts, contribute to the strategy of current and future work, and act as a sounding board for community feedback.
