The moment you enter the hospital our care coordination team will begin assessing potential discharge needs. Our care coordination team includes your nurses, RN Case Managers, hospital pharmacists and physical therapists whose goal is to assure you have the care you need once you leave the hospital.
Your health, safety and welfare are important to us, so we ask that you have someone drive you home when you are discharged.
Cypress Pointe Hospital strives to provide an open visitation policy. We understand that seeing friends and family can offer comfort during your stay. However, this can at times be challenging for patients who need total rest for recovery or when extended families are visiting. If you have questions or concerns about visitation options, please discuss them with your care team. Pets are not allowed however the hospital does allow service animals and therapy dogs.
Unless you specified that you don’t want to be contacted during your stay, friends and family can reach you by calling the hospital’s main number, (985) 510-6200, and by asking for you by name. To protect your privacy, callers receive no information about your location or medical condition.
NO SMOKING is permitted on the campus of Cypress Pointe Hospital. As part of our commitment to protect and promote good health, Cypress Pointe Hospital is a smoke-free, tobacco-free campus.
We value your feedback – your input helps us improve our services. Don’t hesitate to talk to your nurse, charge nurse (nursing supervisor) or a member of our team. During your stay, you may receive a visit from a nursing leader or a member of the patient experience team to make sure you are satisfied with your care and treatment. If you or a family member has a concern, please contact a member of our patient experience team at 985-510-6165.
For your convenience, we can provide price estimates for services and diagnostic testing. Since we cannot anticipate all the charges associated with your treatment plan, we can’t determine the exact total cost of a procedure in advance. As a result, the final bill may differ from the estimate provided.
Your out-of-pocket expenses are the portion of your bill that’s your responsibility. This varies and depends on your individual insurance coverage.
The Cypress Pointe Hospital Charge Master contains the prices of all services, goods and procedures for which a separate charge exists. It is used to generate a bill to a hospital patient or a patient’s health insurance provider. In compliance with the centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services rule (CMS-1694-F), the Cypress Pointe Hospital Chargemaster is provided here. The Chargemaster lists the itemized price of all hospital charges and does not reflect what an insurance company will pay based on contracted rates or what a patient will owe as an estimated out-of-pocket expense.
Cypress Pointe Hospital is a contracted service provider with private health insurance plans and several Medicare Advantage plans. A list of our contracted insurance partners can be found here.
